Kosova to Detroit
Born in Kosova, moved to Detroit in 1999 on a refugee program. Best decision my parents could have made for my brother’s future and mine. I washed dishes, cooked, and picked up trash in shopping center parking lots before I got anywhere near a professional job. Since then I’ve co-founded and helped start a number of companies, most notably KODE Labs and Rocket Fiber. America and Detroit gave my family a second chance at life, and I’ve been beyond fortunate to build on it. What I care about now is leaving everyone and everything I touch better than I found it.
